Interminable Clustering

I imported a file of about 35,000 hands in less than 13 minutes at 44 h/s which is a much lower speed than reported by some but which is certainly acceptable to me. The problem is that it is now more than three hours later and clustering is still in progress. Is this normal and, if so, is there anything that can be done to speed it up?

is your C:\ drive nearly full? cluster should not take that long, and import should be much faster too.

Please list system specs. (and HDD free space)

I cleaned up the c: drive and now have 37% (of 80gb) free and I still cannot import faster than mid-40 h/s and clustering still takes forever. Specs on machine are:

processor 1700 MHz
598 MHz ,0.98 GB of RAM

Do you know how fast your hard drive is? That is the single most important factor in import speed and query retrieval.

With that said, your computer's specs are a little old so you may not be able to import any faster. I can tell you that 40 h/s is probably 10x faster than the speed you can import into PT2 ;)
