Bluescreen (BSOD) when using PT3

Postby flobalob » Sat May 26, 2012 12:11 pm

I nearly always get the BSOD when using PT3 and it's the only time I ever get it. So what can I do? Is it simply uninstall and reinstall PT3 and PostgresSQL 8.3. If so do I lose my database and again if so how do I back up the database. I'm an old git and know very little about the technical side of PCs. Any help would be great thanks.

That isn't common at all and could suggest a hardware problem. It could be a hard disk error, for instance, which may show up more frequently when using PostgreSQL, which does a lot of disk access.
Try running 'chkdsk' and see if it finds and fixes any errors.

If you continue to have problems please open a Support Ticket and one of our support technicians will help you investigate further.
