I'm a bit confused then because I contacted a well known affiliate on just this issue earlier this week and he said that no sites he was aware of still use that manner of calculation. The problem is there's currently no way to tell exactly how many people put money in preflop if they then didn't see the flop, so we cannot build this information 100% accurately at this point in time.

Ahh.... well it may be that the info you have is correct, I've just asked a couple of players, as my affiliate didn't have any idea TBH, some player had less of an idea though FWIW. I don't really know where we go from here....

Try grabbing the stat in
this thread and use amt_weighted_contributed_rake and see if it matches up (when multiplied appropriately) with what you are seeing. That's the most common calculation method at this point for people using contributions so it may well work for you. Please let me know if it doesn't - if there are sites using Average Contributed still I'd definitely like to know which ones they are.
