Delete from DB players, who don't play for a long time?

Postby alexoxol » Fri Sep 26, 2008 7:26 pm

My DB is very huge. Is there any SQL script for Postgress DB to delete players and all his attendant information (hands history etc.), who didn't play for a long time, for example, had no one hand from 1 January 2008?

No, this is not possible. You can't just remove individual players because they are tied in to the hands they played, and this affects other players.
Selective Purge will be added soon, and this will allow you remove specific sessions (so you could remove those before a date, for example) but it will never be possible to remove just individual players.

Ok, but can I delete all data in DB by site? For example, Party Poker?

Yes.

In Beta 23, click Database --> Database Management, click on your database and click Purge and you can purge data from any given site in that menu. Be aware though, that once purged the only way to get that data back in your database is to reimport it from the original hand histories.
