These descriptions:

1) cnt_p_call, described as: Number of times player called a bet preflop
2) cnt_p_ccall, described as: Number of times player cold called a raise

rather confuse me, since I have always believed a cold call to be the same as calling a bet preflop.

Would it not be more correct to describe cnt_p_call as: Number of times player limped preflop?

No, not quite.

Let me give you a few examples:

You're on the button, everone folds to you and you call, the SB raises and all fold.

For that hand, for you, cnt_p_call = 1 (you called once).
cnt_p_ccall = 0. You never called a raise.

Second example:

Still on the button, UTG raises, all fold to you. You call, the SB 3-bets, UTG calls, you call. The rest of the hand is irrelevant.

cnt_p_call = 2. You made two calls.
cnt_p_ccall = 1. You cold called the UTG raise, but the SB's raise wasn't a call cold, as you had some money in.

I hope that clarifies a few things for you. It's true that cnt_p_ccall will always be less than or equal to cnt_p_call, but they are not the same. For each given hand you can only cold call once (after that you have money in the hand), though you can call many times. And limping is not calling a raise cold, it's just calling.
