Position Number

Postby MrBug » Tue Mar 10, 2009 7:13 am

The DB schema says Button = 0, SB = 9 and BB = 8 for holdem_hand_player_statistics.position - what about in heads up poker, where Button = SB? How does this affect stat building?

The SB is always 9 and the BB is always 8 and that trumps everything else, so that's true even in heads up spots. So it does mean that it's one time where the person with the higher position number will be in position.

If you want to make sure that you don't deal with cases like these you can always check to make sure that holdem_hand_summary.cnt_players > 2, and if cnt_players = 2, then change your conditions accordingly. If you have a specific example you'd like some help with, I'd be happy to give you a hand.
