Turn to river luck query

Postby Mr_Pain » Sat May 09, 2009 4:31 pm

Is there anyway to query "how lucky" you are from turn to river? (Ie your luck with the river card)? And only at showdowns where you can see your opponents cards (so it can be calculated). Both allin situations and non-allins. This doesn't at all take into consideration size of bets or your EV. Just your "luck" with the cards. Based on your win % at turn and how it turns out at river.

Say you have the full house, and your opponent finds four of a kind with the river card. Means you had approx 98% to win (or whatever it is exactly). This would drag your luck down by 98. If you win, it adds 2 to your luck. (So basically you would have to win at least 49 times to make up for a loss).

Another example: if you have 50/50 to win you add 50 when you win, drop 50 when you loose.

The total sum of all these hands then show how you are doing compared to the statistical 0.

Possible to make a db query for this?

Not yet, but once there is equity information in the database directly this sort of thing will be possible. I know this is planned and reasonably high on our list of features to add, but I don't know when it will be added in full as it is a very large project.
