OK, right - so you don't just want to see one value in the HUD based on the current number (range) of players? That's what Player Ranges would give you.
If you want to show a list of stats for the number of players then you'll need to create a custom stat for each value.
Duplicate the normal VP$IP stat and the columns it uses and add a check for the number of players into the expression in the columns.
e.g.
VP$IP = (cnt_vpip / cnt_hands) * 100
..so you need to duplicate the columns cnt_vpip and cnt_hands.
So:
cnt_vpip = sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_vpip, 1, 0])
..becomes..
cnt_vpip_8_9 = sum(if[holdem_hand_summary.cnt_players=>8 AND holdem_hand_summary.cnt_players<=9 AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_vpip, 1, 0])
Repeat this for cnt_hands too, then duplicate VP$IP to:
VP$IP 8-9 = (cnt_vpip_8_9 / cnt_hands_8_9) * 100
..and repeat for each of your new stats.
