Saw flop, no action possible

Postby preparac » Tue Nov 16, 2010 3:13 pm

If I want to exclude flops (to get a more accurate WTSD etc.), where no action was possible, because player or (all of his) opponents was allin preflop, can I do this like this?

AND tourney_holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_saw AND NOT (lookup_actions_f.action LIKE 'X%' OR lookup_actions_f.action LIKE 'C%' OR lookup_actions_f.action LIKE 'B%' OR lookup_actions_f.action LIKE 'R%'), 1, 0])

That will actually exclude all flops with action. Though you could condense that further as:
NOT (lookup_actions_f.action LIKE '_%')

A way to remove all flops that didn't have action would be:

lookup_actions_f.action != '' (note that's two 's not one ")

by checking for an action string that doesn't contain nothing.

Ok, good to know. but, is there a way to exclude flops where no action was possible (because all but one player went allin preflop?)

Yes those should be the same; if there was a possible action there was an actual action - you can never have a board where someone could check and yet instead made no action entirely.
