limit columns 1600

Postby makodim » Thu Mar 10, 2011 3:39 pm

hi, At present I have 1600 columns, but if in the following version pt3 you add 50 more new columns, I will need to remove my 50 columns?
If I don't use the most part of yours columns as I can remove them? That they didn't take a place.

The maximum number of columns that there can be in any given database table is 1600 - this is a PostgreSQL limitation.

There are four cache tables - one for holdem cash games, one for holdem tournaments, one for omaha cash games, and one for omaha tournaments. For any one of those four categories, if the number of columns in the player statistics category exceeds 1600, the cache will not be able to update because trying to create the table will result in an error. If you remove columns so that the number of columns needed in the cache is less than or equal to 1600 it will work properly.

ok, if now me have 1600 columns in holdem cash games, and if you in future versions pt3 make new 50 columns in holdem cash games , all columns = 1650 and me need remove MY 50 columns ?
Or there is a way to remove built in columns (Protected from editing) which I don't use?

It's not possible at this time to remove built in columns, but I am pretty confident that we won't be getting any new built-in columns anytime in the next few months at a minimum.
