hand range stat

Postby zedjr » Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:06 pm

There are 3 stats in teh repository called 4bet range 4bet range wp and 4bet range lp. I assume these are used in a pop up. How can i use these. I put them in a pop up but just the number 1 appears. Am lost on how this stat works. IT seems useful.

The description of "4bet range" is:

4b range for holdem. Counts as PFR*PF4Bet/100 and shows a players 4bet range.

So the stat is displaying a numeric value based on the preflop raise percentage multiplied by the preflop 4-bet percentage. I've seen this kind of stat mentioned elsewhere before, and it is supposed to indicate percentage of hands which a player is 4-betting with (since the built-in 4-bet stats count 4-bets as a percentage of opportunities).
Personally, I'm not sure how much use this is (although I am far from a poker expert). Your value of 1% could represent someone who raises every hand but only 4-bets 1%, or someone who raises 1% and 4-bets every chance (or anywhere in between). I'm not sure how I would use that "information"! ;)
