Formatting a Report

In the above there are a couple of formatting issues.

~ The report appears to perform an AVG function on the Hand column. This is not appropriate.

~ The "Net Expected Won $" is not appropriate for tournies as there are no $s in tournies, only chips. The Amount Won column is correctly formatted.

~ It would appear that there is some flexibility in these reports. Am I right in assuming that the header titles and footer values can be modified? For instance, the footer of the 'Hand #' column shows "900 Hands" and I'm guessing the " Hands" parts is an add-on... right? Can the column headers be similarly modified?

~ What program is used to created these reports or is it a part of the paid version of postgres. Is there something that will display the contents of a .pt3rpt file in a readable format?

Thanks - I've reported the first two points (about formatting of the summary/total values) to the development team to be fixed.
If you want to fix these yourself in the meantime you'll need to duplicate the stats and change the copies.
The changes are pretty simple - some background before the specifics...

The header and footer of each stat is defined by the stat itself, not the report it is displayed in.
Both pieces of information are defined on the Format tab for the stat.
See the Tutorial: Custom Reports and Statistics for more information on that in general.

If you want to fix these, duplicate the Hand stat (again, see the tutorial for how to make a new version of a stat) and change the Format Summary Expression to:
' '
That's <single-quote> <space> <single-quote>. This will cause a space to be displayed in the summary row, effectively blanking it out.

In a copy of the EV Allin Expected stat change the Format Expression to remove the money formatting - an expression of:
/%.2f
..will format the number to 2 decimal places. If you just want it to whole chips, which is close enough really, you could use:
/%.0f
Add the same expression to the Format Summary Expression too.

I thought I had responded to this... must have pressed the wrong button.

Ahhh... I see now where the 'Hands' comment in the footer comes from, the formatting for the stat... nice.

I'll hold off on dup'ing the stats for a couple of months jic the developers get this fixed... ty

Any comment on my last dot point?

Postgres is completely free software. I don't know for sure, but the pt3 export files are probably saved using an archive format specific to PT3 and thus would not be able to be read in plain text. This is pretty unfortunate as it would be a nice way to edit things.

The format of the report file is nothing to do with PostgreSQL and the editor is the PT3 custom report system. We do not provide an external editor.
