PAHud problems after switching computers

Just switched PAHud from my laptop to my desktop and I am having trouble using the PAHud... (I'm on XP and using PStars.)

Everything works perfectly on my laptop. On my desktop, not so much. I am wondering if I missing something? Here's what's happening and how I have tried to trouble-shoot:

I think I have everything configured the same in the preference and I exported my layout from the first machine to the new one.

I have toggled the "flicker-free drawing" button on and off. When it's on everything is laggy and freezy. When I toggle it off, the flashing and blinking is constant. Using just PTracker (v2) and Tourney Time with PStars is fine, but as soon as I boot up PAHud and the tourney name pops up in the window it freezes up my PStars, and everything becomes laggy. Sometimes the windows go white and sometimes the stats just flicker like crazy.

My new machine had beta 1.19.4, but I noticed that my lapto version is 1.19.5 so I tried installing that, rebooting Windows, etc but the same problem happens.

I also have the Hand History files option checked under the PStars tab.

Any ideas or advice? I am lonely without my HUD stats! ;)

Do you have the cache enabled and built on the new PC?
First thing I would suggest is double-checking all the preferences settings, but if you're still having problems,
Enable logging, reproduce the problem, and send the PAHud.log file via the Support system so that we can review your configurations and troubleshoot the issue.
Tutorial: How to Create a Log File
Maybe do this on both computers so we can see if there are any differences... zip and attach both logs - make it clear which is which...

Yes. I did enable the database and built the cache. I also tried unchecking the box, changing the database and then selcting it again so it rebuilds.

I am working on logging the 30 hands on each machine. In the meantime I noticed something interesting. I just had PAHud and PStars open and things seemed to be "normal" (but no stats were showing). Then I opened PTracker and the Auto-Import window, then started the timer. Once PTracker found a HH file, the blinking stats started again... Could PTracker be the problem? I am going to see if there any preferences I can compare....

Beta Release v1.19.6 is the most recent version, perhaps you should give that a try as well?

Hi,

I just realized that I didn't post back after I discovered a fix for my problem. It seems to be working now for me...

Both of my computers are Mac and I am using Parrallels to run Windows XP. On Parallels, there is an option called "Coherence" where the Windows desktop drops out and I can view Mac and PC windows all together. I didn't have that option activated on the laptop but I did on the desktop. Once I turned that option off and went to "single window" where there is a Windows desktop with a background it seemed to work fine.

Sorry I didn't post back earlier, but I wanted to share in case someone else ran into the same situation. :)
