PokerTracker Unable to Recognize Database Format

This problem just started a few days ago. I'm using Vista, but I made sure that I'm running all poker programs as an administrator.

When I open PokerTracker, it pops up with Login window that is asking me to type in a password for the login name 'admin.' On the right hand side I can choose a database. When this problem first started, I could choose the hhcopy.mdb database, and the program would work fine. Today, I tried to compact my database when it was suggested, the compacting process failed, and now I can't access my database.

Now, if I choose hhcopy.mdb, it says that the file is in an unrecognized database format. If I choose ptracker.mdb, Poker Tracker acts like the database will work, but when it tried to import a hand, it gives an error message with the complete hand history labeled 'DBCode -1305 Error Text: SQLSTATE = S0002, [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]Could not find output table 'hand_histories'.

Can anyone help me get my database fixed? Thanks.

You should be selecting the file called hhdb.mdb (well really, you shouldn't be getting the prompt at all). Are you able to select that file?
Does it prompt you every time?

I get the prompt every time, and if I try to select hhdb.mdb, it again says that the database is in an unrecognized format.

Go to the Start menu and select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC)
Click on the System DSN tab
Click on the PTRACKHH entry and click the Configure button.
On the next window, click the Repair button and then OK again when prompted.
If this works, try PT again.

When I do that, it has hhdb.mdb selected and I press OK to repair it. It ends up giving me the same 'unrecognized database format' message.

You'll need to download a new file then.

Right-click on the link below and select Save or Save As and save it to the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder replacing the file that is there now...
