Error Retrieving the VERSION_INFO table

a while back I used to play a lot and had a few big databases.
I had copied them to disk and have just recently copied them to my new hard drive.
However, it appears as though I did something wrong.
When Itry to open the databases I get the error posted in the topic (along with a few others)
Is there any way for me to fix this, or am I completely just SOL?
Thanks for your time
these are access databases by the way

That error sounds like you are trying to open a database that isn't a PT2 stats database. Maybe you have created an entry on the File > Maintain Database Names window that is pointing to a hand history db file (i.e. hhdb.mdb) and not a stats database file (i.e. ptrack.mdb or ptrackX.mdb where X is a number).

Thank you for your quick reply.
yes, it was a hand history database, you were correct there.
Now my follow up question is, if I have a hand history database but I no longer have a PT2 database associated with it, is there any way to create one?
Is there any way to get the info from it so that it becomes usable again in PT?

If you are saying that all you have is the hand history db file and nothing else then you could try the steps given in the FOURTH thread of this old forum posts to export the hand histories out of that file so you can reimport them into a new database...

clicking on the link to download the exporthh.exe file, it is a broken link.
Takes me to a page that says the requested file could not be found.

Thank you very much, this appears to be working and makes me quite happy.
PT2 is still the best $55 I have ever spent and the support is half the reason why!
