Database needs repair

hi,
My database was working fine yesterday, goto open it today and get the error message: Database..../ptracko.mdb needs to be repaired, i click OK and get an 'OBDC Microsoft Access Driver Login Failed': Invalid Argument.
Clicking OK to this simply returns me to the previous message and the same thing happens.

When i click cancel to get to the utilities menu and select 'repair a database' it begins the process, backing up the database, and a minute or so in the above message appears again.

after this, attempting to close the process brings up various other error messages, before finally windows shuts pto down.

Time to start a new db? any help appreciated

the problem has been solved, im still not sure what pto was doing when it tried to repair the db. but i attempted to open the database using Access, it gave me a similar error message and asked if i wanted to try and repair it, i did and it all working fine now. ;)
