We still have a cache - that cache is updated during imports so that it is always completely populated.

The "Import Complete" message shouldn't be displayed until import is actually done though - how much time are you seeing between the message and it actually being done? The View Import Stats area should show you everything that is going on.

hi kraada, the import was complete on both the small info box bottom left and the view import status screen, just would not let me start a new import from another file, however i haven't been able to reproduce it yet

Ok, please let me know if you are able to reproduce it - this is the first report we've heard of this kind of behavior from anyone and it's definitely something we'd need more information on before we can figure out how to fix it.

hi kraada, its doing it again now, cannot import from any further files:- speed 120 h/s, elapsed 0:14:22, Remaining complete.
View import Status tab import complete 103,489 hands in 377 files were imported (7 errore,227 duplicates)
8 minutes later tried to import from another file Error: Manual import is already running. in red letters in View import Status screen, my hard disk is being accessed, had a look in resource monitor and lots of writes by postgresql to hard disc, could it be the notetracker making notes on newly bulk imported hands stopping further imports?Theres one postgresql process thats writing to disk over 200,000 B/sec with no import taking place. i have uninstalled pt3 and the "other" brand of tracking software so pt4 is the only tracking software i have installed that acesses postgresql.

My understanding is that NoteTracker shouldn't start until Manual Import is done. Can you attach the log file from that session to a support ticket for us? We've fixed the support system so attaching logs should not be a problem.

You can find your log quickly by clicking File --> Show Data Directory and it's the PokerTracker.log file there.

I think I was able to reproduce...at least I was able to make a screenshot

As you can see in the screenshot "Get hands from disk" is active and in the lower left corner it says that import is complete and the icon in the lower right corner is also not active...but I get the error message that manual import is still running...got the message 3 times cause I wanted to catch the Import cancelled message too. So for some reason it seems to still update the cache although the rest of PT4 already shows that the import is done.

Hope that helps....

As already mentioned...I play on LuckyAce and I use Windows Vista Home Premium.

If you can reproduce this again, could you attach the log file to the ticket you started earlier? I think we're getting close to figuring out this problem and the log file will help a lot.

I did not restart PT4 since...so does the log file still have the information you may need..if so tell me how to get it and I will attach it with a ticket.

Click File --> Show Data Directory. The file is the text file called PokerTracker.log in that directory. Zip it and attach it to a support ticket on this site and post your ticket number here.

it is happening right now again...it says complete and the icon does not show up on the lower right corner and I can also click on get hands from disk but the status is still at "adjusting session stakes".

by the way..ticket number for this problem is 115450 and the other one that I should send you (second page of this thread) is 115441.

Thanks
