HUD support for Boss Media/IPN/Gtech G2 for SNG and MTT

As of now, PT4 doesn't support HUD on SNG and MTT tables on Boss. Cash tables are supported. The explanation is that "Tournament tables cannot be uniquely identified".

The thing is, I don't know for how long, but the tournament tables are identifiable. The window of a table now is titled like so "5 - Cooler - 45966614", which means that this is the 5th table the player is running, that its a Cooler tournament, and that the tournament number is 45966614.

I don't get it, why is there no HUD? This should be ridiculously easy to implement. The specific tournament hand histories can be found under C:/Users/App Data/Boss Media/../45966614.xml

I don't get it, why are cash tables supported, and not SNG and MTTs? There is just as much information available to identify the tables.

I'm afraid I don't know the specifics but the last I heard the windows really were not uniquely identifiable from the information in the hand history folder, though what you describe does make it sound that things have changed (though it's also possible there's something that you're missing).

Please attach a hand history file from a tournament with a screenshot showing the table to a support ticket and we'll take a look again for you.

I've just started using PokerTracker 4 with a GTech site (on a Mac) and was wondering why the PT4 online guide says that the HUD does work (in a round about way - see below), but the posts here says that it doesn't. I have found that it does not work "in real-time" but does work in hand replays of MTTs.

It would be helpful if the online guide were more clear on this matter so folks (such as myself) don't spend hours trying to figure out why this isn't working as advertised.

Manual Import Configuration for GTECH G2
PokerTracker 4 cannot import GTECH G2 poker client hand histories or display the Heads Up Display (HUD) in real-time while playing without prior configuration. You can easily do this by clicking Configure in the application menu, and then select Site & Import Options. View the Site Configuration tab and choose GTECH G2 along the left side Poker Network list.

Our supported sites list for Mac which is kept up to date is available here. We unfortunately cannot go back and edit every post on our forums to keep them up to date so there are times that searching the forums for information will give you out of date info. This happens to be one of those cases.

Does the new table selestion tool support Boss Media tournaments? PT4 did show a HUD, when it was still in beta status, but since it's an official feature, it doesn't anymore.

I believe it should. If you're not seeing it, please restart PT4 using the logging enabled link on your Start Menu, try again and then send us a report via our support system with the log file - that will help us figure out what is going on here and we'll be able to give you more information then. You can find that file by clicking File --> Show User Data Folder in the main PT4 window - the file we need is the text file called PokerTracker4 that is in that folder.

Hi, any updates on this? I heard from a guy that PT4 does support HUDs now for Gtech, but only 1 HUD at a time. Apparently the HUD is shown for the first tournament that you started.

I will download the trial and will try that out myself soon, but maybe I can get a quicker answer here. I might actually upgrade from PT3 if this is true. ^^

I'm told that the HUD should be working in PT4 for GTech G2 tournaments. I'm not 100% sure that Table Select isn't necessary sometimes (where you manually pick the table that PT4 should put the HUD on) but we did just test to make sure it worked on two SnGs of the same type so you should be good.

Please give the trial a shot and I'm sure you'll find it a significant improvement over PT3 :)
