We have plans for ways to make that interface a bit cleaner but I can't say yet exactly what they will be or when they will be ready.

I don't want to produce a new topic so I bump this one.

Right now note taking window is very hard to use to say the least.
If you don't use NoteTracker (which I assume most people don't), then big portion of the window is taken by useles NotrTracker stuff.
Having Bold, Italic etc. is nice for sure, but for the person who knows Ztrl+B and Ctrl+I is again a waste of precious space (since we can't close this pannel).
Havng those Flop, Turn, River buttons is a nice idea, but without any way to customize it it works only for minority of players (since people do tend to structure their note taking differently).

And for the biggest one. It is ridiculously hard to select text with the mouse in this editor. Any time you leave the borders of the window selction goes off. To start selection you have to start close to the actual text, while in every text editor any white space is fine.

So in short. This is very, very, very bad, and I'm really surprised that not many people complaining about it.
I personally used HM1 just for note taking window, and PT4 for stats, but since they ending their support I'll have to switch to PT4 for my notes. And even thinking about it terrifies me.
This part of PT4 should be fixed. It's a shame to have such a bad text editor in modern days.

Also, the space between lines is too big.

Thank you

Thank you for your post. I know the development team is aware of some of these issues, and I will remind them of them.
