custom stat not importing due to new version ?

Are you trying to import a zip/rar file? You need to extract/decompress that before importing any custom statistics contained within. Importing the zip/rar file directly will not work.

no the file does not seem to be detected it says its a pt4qf file and says its from a newer version of pt4? any idea what to do?

That isn't a custom statistic. What you have is a quick filter file. Quick filters are imported into PokerTracker 4 via 'More Filters -> Edit Quick Filters -> Import'.
